More than 156 million Brazilians are eligible to go to the polls this Sunday (october 2nd) to elect the country's new president.

There will also be 27 governors, 27 more senators, as well as state and federal deputies.

The main electoral dispute in 2022 is between President Jair Bolsonaro and former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

According to polls held yesterday, Lula varies between 50% and 51% of valid votes, while Bolsonaro is between 36% and 37%.

If he has more than 50% of the votes, Lula can be elected in the first round.
